The family archive is now available in Russian, Romanian and English. The interface, biographies, family history, news and source descriptions have been translated.

Switching languages keeps the current person or section open. Names on person cards, original documents and relatives’ comments remain untranslated.

The Romanian and English versions were prepared using machine translation. Key kinship terms and notices about unconfirmed relationships were checked separately; complex passages may contain inaccuracies. You can always consult the Russian original.

September 29 - Kolodins and Chebanovs

Day of the Kolodins: in the Ivanovo archive there were church records about the wedding of Alexandra Semyonovna’s great-grandfather and great-grandmother and about the birth of their six children, and from the family archive - the gymnasium documents of Alexandra Semyonovna herself. And a new thread on the Chebanovs: Kyiv ancestors from the Caucasus.

Kolodins from Puchezh

Wedding in 1882 and new ancestors

• Semyon and Anna The Kolodins got married September 5 (17), 1882 in the Transfiguration foothill church of Puchezh: the groom is 22 years old, the bride is 19 (record).
• Groom - “Yurievets tradesman Semyon” Kornilov Kolodin": his father's name was Cornelius. Semyon's patronymic is Kornilovich (this morning we mistakenly read “Kirillovich” - corrected).
• The bride is “the girl Anna Ivanova, the daughter of the Puchezh tradesman Ivan Vladimirov”: so another ancestor appeared in the tree, Иван Владимирович. His last name is written illegibly (similar to “Chepenago”) - we will clarify.
• The family lived in Puchezh, and was listed in the petty-bourgeois society of Yuryevets - that’s why in all documents they are “Yuryevets”.

Children of Semyon and Anna according to church books - all nine

• Михаил - December 22, 1884 (record). The family didn't know about him. But in 1902, 17-year-old “Mikhail Semenov Kolodin” became the godfather of his younger sister Sofia - which means he grew up.
• Arseny — March 1 (13), 1887 (record).
• Николай - April 18 (30), 1889, born prematurely and weak; he was baptized by a midwife at home, and the priest wrote it down in a book (record). Further fate is unknown.
• Glafira — April 26 (May 8), 1890 (record).
• Maria — June 8 (20), 1892 (record), later Vladimirov.
• Alexandra - March 9 (21), 1897, baptized March 10 (22) (record).
• Fedor — June 6 (18), 1899 (record). This entry directly states: “Yuryevetsky tradesman living in Puchezh Posad.”
• Anna - July 6 (19), 1901; lived for three weeks and died on July 25 (birth, death). The family didn’t know about her either.
• Sofia - August 20 (September 2), 1902, the youngest (record). Godfather - brother Mikhail.

All the children named in the manuscript of Catherine Konstantinovna are now found in church books, and three more in addition - Mikhail, Nikolai and little Anna.

Alexandra Semyonovna: date of birth, gymnasium, teaching

• The family celebrated her birthday on March 22. According to church records, she was born on March 21 according to the new style, and on the 22nd she was baptized - apparently, the family celebrated the day of baptism.
• Since 1910 she studied at the Yuryevets Women's Gymnasium named after. Pushkin; On April 29, 1915, she graduated from 7 classes, the average score was 4⅛, her behavior was always “excellent” (certificate, turnover).
• On May 23, 1916, after the 8th grade pedagogical class, she received the title home teacher with the right to teach mathematics (certificate, turnover). It was confirmed that after high school she taught.

Pavel Stepanovich Kamyshanov and Ekaterina Konstantinovna Figurovskaya signed September 16, 1951 in Novorossiysk (marriage certificate). The document confirms that Ekaterina Konstantinovna was born in Ostrogozhsk and remained Figurovskaya in marriage.

Baptism of Ekaterina Konstantinovna

Galina Pavlovna asked if it was possible to find out if my mother was baptized. We checked the archives: the church books of Puchezh survived only until 1918, Ostrogozhsk - until 1923, so, unfortunately, there are no records from 1926. Ekaterina Konstantinovna herself thought that her grandmother Anna Ivanovna baptized her when her granddaughter was brought to Puchezh for the summer - this is written down in her card.

Chebanovs: new branch

• Людмила Петровна, nee Zamyatina, lived in Ashgabat. After a divorce from Yuri Chebanov left with her young sons Dmitry and Vadim to Norilsk, where she married Viktor Alexandrovich Egorov. The sons remained Chebanovs.
• Her grandmother - Vera Aleksandrovna Kubekova: in 1899 in Kyiv she graduated from the gymnasium and the pedagogical course of the Fundukleevskaya gymnasium and received the title of home tutor (certificate). In the certificate she is called, apparently, “the major’s daughter.”
• Her great-grandfather - Magomed Magomedovich Kubekov, an officer originally from the Caucasus; his portrait was taken in Kyiv (photography). Most likely, he is Vera Alexandrovna’s father.

• Lyudmila Petrovna's father - Pyotr Petrovich Zamyatin. He lived until the 1980s and died in Strunino, in the house of Lyudmila Petrovna; children Olga, Veronica and Igor took him to Ashgabat to bury him (according to Galina Pavlovna). Dmitry Chebanov, his grandson, added: “He didn’t fight. He didn't have one eye" (message). This means that we need to look for it not in military bases, but in the civil documents of Ashgabat and Strunin.
• The second agent found Vera Alexandrovna's possible brother: Prince Alexander Alexandrovich Kubekov, born in Kyiv in 1888, “son of a retired major,” artillery colonel; emigrated to France and died there in 1981. His death certificate names his parents: Alexander Kubekov and Lyubov Degterevskaya (act). The surname, patronymic, Kyiv and father-major are the same, but that he is Vera’s brother has not yet been proven.

Hence, apparently, the family legend about the “grandmother-countess”: the Kubekovs bore the title princes, but no one was a countess. It is not yet known through whom Lyudmila Petrovna is Vera Alexandrovna’s granddaughter: through her father, Pyotr Zamyatin, or through her mother. Therefore, the Kubekovs are shown separately on the tree for now.

Calugareanu: two new photos

• Grandfather Григорий Георгиевич at a meeting of war veterans. He is in the center, many have medals on their chests (photo). The year and place are not marked; in appearance it is from the 1970s–1980s. The copy was processed by a neural network, so if anyone has the original, please send it.
• Михаил Григорьевич with my wife Evgenia, daughter and two grandchildren in the fall in New York's Central Park (photo). We don’t know what our grandchildren’s names are yet. Tell!
• And young Михаил Григорьевич in conscript service in the Soviet Army: a portrait in a cap, with soldier’s insignia on the chest (photo). We don’t yet know where and in what year he served.
• Mikhail s Evgenia and Степан Григорьевич with Praskovya at the holiday (photo). Mikhail and Evgenia are standing, Stepan and Praskovya are sitting.
• Tombstone of grandparents: “Călugăreanu Maria Ion 02/08/1921 – 07/27/2013, Grigore Gheorghe 10/01/1913 – 04/17/2011” (photo). This is how we found out the date of death Maria Ivanovna: July 27, 2013. Grandfather dates Gregory coincided with the documents. Both are buried in Kapaklia.
• Călugareanu's large family, about forty people, in the yard in the summer (photo). Please write where and when it was filmed and who is who.

Where are the Kamyshanovs and Figurovskaya buried?

Galina Pavlovna sent her mother’s manuscript, Ekaterina Konstantinovna. Several years ago, at the request of her daughter, she described for posterity how to find family graves in Novorossiysk. The graves are located in three different cemeteries:

• Methodius — Alexandra Semyonovna Figurovskaya. From the main entrance, walk through to the exit, turn left after the gate, walk to the next high-voltage line support, walk down another ten meters, turn left and enter the cemetery along the path. Behind 2–3 rows of graves there is a fence with a large monument (manuscript).
• Mount Kabahaha — Павел Степанович and Yuri Pavlovich Kamyshanov. Pavel Stepanovich lies immediately behind the farm yard: to the right of the road, in the first row, in a fence with two graves, a large and black monument. Yuri Pavlovich - above, in section 14: from the first turn to the right, go up to the third turn, turn left and go straight ahead. On the right there will be a fence with a large monument and a bench (manuscript).
• Sunny — Anastasia Mikhailovna Kamyshanova along with his sister. From the main entrance, go straight ahead and look at the monuments on the left until a large white monument with a medical emblem (a bowl with a snake) appears. Behind it, turn onto the path to the left and count five fences. Sixth - a fence for two graves (manuscript).

We do not yet know the name of Anastasia Mikhailovna’s sister and who lies in the second grave next to Pavel Stepanovich. If you know, write. And if you are in Novorossiysk, please take photographs of the monuments: we will check the dates using the inscriptions.

• Find out the last name of Ivan Vladimirovich, Anna Ivanovna’s father, and find out the fate of Mikhail Kolodin.
• Find Vera Kubekova’s personal file in the Fundukleevskaya gymnasium (Kiev City Archive) - there should be her certificate with the names of her parents.
• Find out from the family through whom Lyudmila Petrovna is connected with the Kubekovs.

The most new thing is about the ancestors along the Melnikov line: most likely, the family of great-grandmother Praskovya was found, and great-grandfather Ivan Sergeevich was found in the First World War.

Ancestors

Great-grandfather Ivan Sergeevich Melnikov (1895–1958)

• Иван Сергеевич, almost certainly, fought in the First World War: a private in the 99th Ivangorod Infantry Regiment from the Chernyaevsk volost of the Tula province, wounded in the fall of 1916, in 1917 he was treated in Tula and Belev.
• At the end of 1916 he was already married - this means the wedding took place no later than 1916.
• With a military ID son Sergei: he was born in 1928 in village Chernyaevka Tula region - near Lidinka, where the Bushins are from.

Great-grandmother Praskovya Timofeevna - now, most likely, her family is known

• The church book of 1895 records the birth of Paraskeva on October 21 - exactly on the date from the tombstone Praskovya Timofeevna. Father - Timofey Sergeevich Sokolov, mother - Tatyana Artemyevna, née Domanova.
• They are peasants Kresty village (aka Zinovevo and Ivanovskoye), now Kurkinsky district of the Tula region, about 50 km from Chernyaevka.
• Her parents got married in 1894 in the Church of the Crosses. After Paraskeva, they gave birth to Peter, Aquilina and Vasily; Vasily died as an infant in Moscow in 1902.

For now it is “probably” and not “definitely”. You need to find the wedding of Ivan and Praskovya: it is not in the books of Krestov for the years 1915–1918 - the next search location is Chernyaevka.

Great-great-grandfather Timofey Sokolov

For many years he lived to earn money in Moscow. In the census of 1910–1912, he was recorded as a peasant Krestov, who worked in Moscow all year round, his wife was with him. Perhaps he was captured by the Germans during the First World War: a card was found for Timofey Sergeevich Sokolov from Kresty, but this still needs to be verified.

Domanovs - a new branch

This is Tatyana's relatives. Her father is probably Artemy Andreevich Domanov, who died in 1893. Her brother's Ivan Artemyevich children and household are recorded in the Crosses.

Bushins and Fetisovs, Lidinka

• Great-great-grandfather Loggin Timofeevich Bushin found in the 1910–1912 census: owner of a yard in Lidinka, 47 years old, large family. One of the sons, 13 years old, worked as a tailor in Moscow - perhaps this is his great-grandfather Alexey.
• His son Tikhon was wounded twice in the First World War.
• Alexey's middle name has been confirmed - Logginovich (according to documents of his brother Ignat).
• Great-great-grandfather's family found Prokhora Fetisova and Evdokia Kondratievna, née Morozova: married in 1888, many children. Their son Fedor died in Finnish captivity in 1942.

Figurovsky

Great-great-grandfather Фёдор Иванович was a deacon in Kostroma churches in the 1890s. According to someone else's tree on Geni, the line was extended to his grandfather - the sexton of the village of Tatyanino.

Calugareanu and Ples

According to mom's story, grandfather's brothers were added Gregory (Pavel, Stepan, Georgy) and grandmother's brothers and sister Maria. In the World War I database there was one Ivan Plesh from Bessarabia, but there is no connection with our family yet.

Other people

• 20 relatives were added: Melnikovs, Figurovskys, Kereychuks, Altunins and others.
• At the request of Galina Pavlovna, the Shokhins branch was removed.
• Corrected first names and maiden names.

Places

• Section "Places" redone: each branch has its own “road” by year - from where and where they moved and how many kilometers between places; the map nearby automatically goes to the place you are reading about.
• Added Crosses with the history of the village and church, Chernyaevka, Moscow, Lopasnya; for Krestov, Lidinka and Chernyaevka - how many households and residents there were around 1910.

History

B "History" added Ivan Sergeevich in the First World War, the Sokolov family from Krestov, Timofey’s life working in Moscow, the Bushins’ yard in Lidinka. The list of “What We Don’t Know Yet” has been updated.

Convenience

• On a phone, the tree is full screen and can be moved with one finger; surnames are opened using the “Branches and surnames” button.
• The tree can be shown vertically or horizontally; Those with fewer than three people have been removed from the list of surnames.
• “The entire tree” has been moved to the “Archive” section.
• References to documents in the texts of places have become neat footnotes.

What's next

• Finding the wedding of Ivan and Praskovya in Chernyaevka’s books of 1913–1916 will confirm that Praskovya is the daughter of Timofey Sokolov.
• Check if it is the same Timofey Sokolov who was captured.
