Husband of Ekaterina Konstantinovna Figurovskaya, father of Galina Pavlovna Kamyshanova. Middle name Stepanovich was given by Elena.
Participant of the Great Patriotic War: drafted by the Tsyurupinsky RVK (Nikolaev region), 79th tank brigade of the 19th tank corps; junior, then senior sergeant. Awards: Order of Glory III degree, medal “For Victory over Germany”, Order of the Patriotic War I degree (1985).
Identity with the entry “In Memory of the People” was confirmed by Igor (09/26/2026).
Mother - Kamyshanova Anastasia Mikhailovna, 1898–1982 (report by Galina Pavlovna).
According to the 2001 manuscript ( S27 ): born in Novorossiysk in the family of a mechanic. Before the war, he graduated from 9 classes, was driven away by the Germans to Ukraine; after the liberation of Ukraine, he served in the Soviet army (hence the conscription by the Tsyurupinsky RVC). At the front he was seriously wounded in the chest; liberated Crimea and the Baltic states. After the war he served for another 5 years.
After demobilization, he returned to Novorossiysk, married Ekaterina Konstantinovna Figurovskaya; graduated in absentia from an industrial technical school and the Moscow Polytechnic Institute; worked in big energy. He stood up for his mother before his father.
Wound (Galina Pavlovna’s clarification, 09/27/2026): a through-and-through chest wound, without damage to internal organs, and was therefore considered mild; was treated in the hospital for 2-3 months and returned to the front. The 2001 manuscript says "severely wounded in the chest."
VMD archive certificate ( S52 ): Red Army soldier of the 14th Guards Mechanized Brigade; 11/28/1943 received a through bullet wound to the left chest; from 12/8/1943 he was treated in evacuation hospital 3108 (received from Tokmak), 02/13/1944 he was discharged to the unit, declared fit for combat service. Mother then lived in the village. Old Mayachka, Tsyurupinsky district, Nikolaev region. - where the family was driven away; hence the call by the Tsyurupinsky RVC. The document confirms Galina Pavlovna’s story: 2–3 months in the hospital and return to the front.
Marriage certificate ( S136 ): born in 1925, native of Novorossiysk; marriage with E.K. Figurovskaya was registered on September 16, 1951 in the Novorossiysk Civil Registry Office. The date 09/16/2001 from the military registration and enlistment office record ( S18 ) falls exactly on the 50th wedding anniversary - either a coincidence, or the date in S18 does not mean death; It’s worth checking with Galina Pavlovna.
He was buried in Novorossiysk in the cemetery on Mount Kabakhaha, in a fence for two graves; who is in the second grave is not recorded ( S179 ).
