Father of Sergei Ivanovich and Ivan Ivanovich Melnikov; died in 1958 (message by Igor, 09/26/2026).
The family lived in the village of the Lopasnensky timber industry enterprise (Lopasnya - now the city of Chekhov).
He was buried at the Satino-Russkoe cemetery (in the same place as Sergei Ivanovich and Valentina Alekseevna).
Place of birth (1895) in the family is unknown.
Son Sergei was born in 1928 in the village of Chernyaevka, Volovsky district, Tula region. ( S44 ) - this means that around 1928 the family lived there; Ivan Sergeevich himself, according to the cards of the First World War, is from the Chernyaevskaya volost ( S96 , S112 - S114 ), and Praskovya Timofeevna, probably from the village. Crosses (about 51 km).
First World War (probably him): private of the 99th Ivangorod regiment Ivan Sergeevich Melnikov from Chernyaevsk volost. The originals S112 – S114 confirm the full name and geography, but do not contain the date of birth or the name of the spouse. Married on the regimental list; in 1917 he was noted in the Tula and Belyov teams of convalescents. In one card “Chernyaeva”, mistakenly indexed as “Chernoe”. The dates and places of injury differ: November 2 on the Neman and October 2, 1916 on the Romanian front; this discrepancy is not resolved.
In the regimental list of losses for November 1916, Ivan Sergeevich is already recorded as married ( S114 ). If this is our great-grandfather, the marriage was concluded no later than 1916. In the books of the Vvedenskaya Church there are no crosses of marriages of Ivan Melnikov and Paraskeva Sokolova for 1915 - May 1918 ( S99 ): search in the books of Chernyaevka for 1913-1916. ( L64 ).
