Peasant of the village of Zinoviev - this is the village. Crosses (Ivanovskoe) Mikhailovskaya volost, now Kurkinsky district ( S74 ). Married October 2, 1894 at age 18 ( S62 ). The guarantor for the wedding was former private Grigory Sergeev Sokolov from the same village, probably his brother.
Children by metrics ( S63 ): Paraskeva 1895, Peter 1897, Akilina 1900, Vasily 1902.
Father - Sergei Sokolov (patronymic); information about him was not found.
The relationship with Praskovya Timofeevna Melnikova is probable: the date of birth of Paraskeva’s daughter coincides with the tombstone ( L26 ).
In 1902 - “reserve private”, lived in Moscow: his son Vasily died there in June 1902 ( S72 ). In 1908–1909 still in Moscow: godfather to fellow countrymen from Kresty and to the daughter of the widow Volkova ( S73 ). This means he served in the army for approx. 1897–1901 and went to work in Moscow, like many peasants of Krestov.
Prisoner of war Timofey Sergeevich Sokolov, born in 1877, “Crosses of Tulsk. G." ( S118 , L57 ) - a strong candidate for this person: 211th Nikolsky Infantry Regiment, 5th Company, Camp Gardelegen. The match of name, place and close age is significant, but the spouse/children and parish are not on the card; the identity requires additional verification. The date of capture in the index is 11/08/1915, the handwritten month may be II. The date of birth and relationship were not changed for this find.
Household card of Crosses 1910–1912: yard No. 48 of Timofey Sergeev Sokolov, 36 years old; wife35. Candidate by name, village and age, but the identity is not confirmed: the composition of the court contains only spouses, without children. This is a significant discrepancy with the three children known from metrics before the census (Paraskeva 1895, Peter 1897, Akilina 1900; Vasily died in 1902); information about the death of the rest before the census has not yet been found. Perhaps the children lived separately or were registered in another yard; There is no reason yet to distribute them among other cards. Fishing in Moscow, 6 years of experience, earnings 360 rubles; the profession is preliminarily “policeman”. The wife “is with her husband.” The names of the spouse and children are missing; birth and relationship did not change ( S120 ). Geographical disclaimer: in the Kochakov parish of Krapivensky district there was another village of Kresty ( S126 ); therefore “Crosses of Tulsk. G." without a district does not clearly indicate the family Ivanovo Crosses of the Bogoroditsky district.
Neighboring yard No. 49 in Kresty - Grigory Sergeev Sokolov, 48 years old ( S122 ); in 1910, together with Gavrila Egorov Sokolov, he bought the plots. Neighborhood and patronymic support the version that Gregory is Timofey’s brother, but this has not been proven.
