A peasant of the Ievlevo volost of Bogoroditsk uyezd. The 1745 revision lists «умершаго Матвея Семенова… дети: Михайла 17, Никита 16, Петр 3» — the Melnikovs of Chernyaevka descend from them (S307). The surname Melnikov was not yet recorded in 1745.
