Kubekov Aleksandr Aleksandrovich (1888–1981)

Prince. Born on 12 May 1888 in Kiev, the son of Aleksandr Kubekov and Lyubov Degterevskaya (S154). Kiev Cadet Corps (1906), Mikhailovskoe Artillery School (1909); in 1915 a lieutenant of the 44th Artillery Brigade, awarded the St George sword for the battles at Lake Sventen (S161); by the end of his service a colonel of artillery.
In emigration: in 1922 his son Aleksandr was born in Sofia; in 1942–1945 the family lived in Selb in Bavaria (S295, S296), then in France. He died on 5 October 1981 in Sarreguemines, the widower of Nina Ivanova, a pensioner of the faience works (S154). In 1967 his wife searched for their missing son through the Red Cross (S301).
According to S. V. Volkov’s reference book, in 1918 he served in the Hetman’s army, then in the Armed Forces of South Russia, colonel; in emigration in Bulgaria, then in France (S392).
