Плеш Иоанн Димитриевич
probably great-great-grandfather on the mother's side (father of Ivan Ivanovich Pleș)
Birth: BET 1849 AND 1860
“Settler (peasant) of the village of Porumbești, Izmail district, Ioann (Ivan) Dimitriev Pleș”; wife — Elena Feodorovna, both in their first marriage (S711). Children according to the registers of the church of Leca: Ekaterina (1880), Feodor (1882), Mikhail (1884), Sofia (1887), Andrei (1889), Miron (1893) and Ioann (14 January 1896, S710) — probably great-grandfather Ivan Ivanovich. Alive at least until 14 February 1910 (a surety at a wedding). Brother — Nestor Dimitrievich (about 1873–1909).
In the marriage record of 8 November 1882 he is 22, but already in 1880 he and Elena Feodorovna lost their daughter Maria, aged three, and their son Vasily (S724): so they were married no later than about 1876, and the 1882 record is a late one with a wrong age. Therefore he may well be the Ivan Dmitrievich, son of Dmitry Timofeevich, recorded in the 1850 Porumbești revision (about 1849, I474); this has not yet been checked. Another Ivan Dimitrievich Pleș (wife Fotinia) lived in neighbouring Cociulia.
Father — by patronymic and place, probably Dimitry Petrovich Pleș, who died in 1907 aged 90 (S712); there is no record of his birth.
