According to the pedigree published by Dr G. Minkh in the “History of Leprosy in the Terek Region” (1894), the founder of the Ishcherskaya Chebanovs: “Semyon, resettled from the Volga”; his son was the retired Cossack Pyotr Semyonovich (S733). The Volga Cossacks were resettled to the Terek in the 1770s.
