Forester of the Terek region: in the “Caucasian Calendar” for 1894 — “Regional Forester, Court Councillor Iv. Iv. Tuskaev”, in 1898 head of the forestry department of the Terek regional board, in 1900 Collegiate Assessor, regional forester (S736). He studied harmful insects of the Terek region (a paper at the VIII Entomological Congress, Odessa, 1889) and collected Ossetian handicrafts for exhibitions. According to the reference “Officers of the Russian Imperial Army”, Esaul Timofei Ivanovich Tuskaev (1872) was “the son of a forester”, a Cossack of Novo-Osetinskaya stanitsa (S545); so Ivan Ivanovich is very probably his father, although there is no direct document.
