Parish village of the Kireechevs: Streshnevo, Verkhovye Plavy, Krivetskoye and nearby villages belonged to the Epiphany church of Raevo. The stone church was built in 1864. The Kireechevs were baptised and married here.
The parish registers survive in the State Archive of the Tula Region; those for 1899 are on FamilySearch (S356). The birth of Stefan Vasilyev Kireechev (about 1892) is still to be found in the books for 1891–1893.
The village itself was founded in the 17th century by men in state service — odnodvortsy. Only a few people live there now.
