Home village of the Kireechevs, the family of Anna Stefanovna Melnikova. In the mid-19th century this was the hamlet of Novosyolki, also called Streshnevo, on the Plava stream; in 1859 it had 82 households and 950 inhabitants. The village belonged to the parish of the Epiphany church in the neighbouring village of Raevo.
The parish register of 1899 records "peasant of the village of Streshnevo Evsevy Vasilyev and his lawful wife Pelageya Grigoryeva" Kireechev. Evsevy is probably a brother of Stefan Vasilyevich Kireechev (1892), who was called up in Podolsk in 1942 and was most likely Anna Stefanovna's father (S356).
Kireechevs born in Streshnevo also appear in Pamyat Naroda: Alexei Evseevich (1924), Mikhail Ignatyevich (1902), Georgy Ignatyevich (1917). During the war the village was under German occupation. Part of the family moved near Podolsk before the war — just like the Melnikovs from neighbouring Chernyaevka (S356).
