Baranovka

Historically
a village of the Counts Bobrinsky, parish of Pokrovskoye
Now
the village has not survived; its exact site is not known
Years
1782–1825

The village the Bushins and Fetisovs came from. The revisions of 1811 and 1816 record here Egor Maksimovich Bushin with his sons Prokhor and Minai and Samson Kharlamovich Fetisov with his son Safon (S530, S531). They were baptised and married in the village of Pokrovskoye. In 1825 the whole village was moved to a new site — that is how Lidinka began; a directory of 1857 records it as “Lidinka, or Baronovka”.

Where the Bushins came from. Under the revision of 1782 some of the Bushins were moved to Baranovka from Mikhailovskoye (S495). Minai Egorovich is probably Igor's fourth-great-grandfather twice: through Evfrosinia Minaevna, wife of Anton Safonovich Fetisov (S787, S785), and through his granddaughter Ekaterina Gavrilovna, mother of Nadezhda Yakovlevna Melnikova.

Registers of the village of Pokrovskoye. On 8 November 1814 “the youth Gavriil Minaev, 18” and “the maiden Elena Ivanova, 16” were married here (S781); their daughters Vera (1815) and Stefanida (1822) were baptised here too (S779, S780). The village is not on the map, and Pokrovskoye in Bogoroditsk uyezd has not yet been located on a modern map, so Baranovka has no map point yet.
